A prodigy discovered at the age of five, she went on to become the first French player to make a caree...。解放前，张根宝随母亲来到浙东的一个小镇，随老裁缝刘金发学艺。刘金发有个女儿叫凤英，师徒在一起过着平静的生活，几年后，根宝和凤英都长大了，老裁缝决定把女儿许配给张根宝。不料恶霸地主赵老爷欲强占凤英为妾，赵老爷与国民党密谋，抓张根宝为壮丁。为救根宝，刘金发反求赵老爷搭救，赵老爷便称机要挟凤英做小妾，凤英被迫同意。赵老爷娶妾之日，根宝在桥夫王大毛的帮助下，半路携凤英逃走。赵老爷闻讯，勾结国民党将刘裁缝和王大毛押入狱中。此时正面临解放，赵老爷便匆忙逃命，并许以金钱，嘱刘裁缝代为保管。小镇解放后，刘裁缝欲用赵老爷留下的这笔钱为女儿和根宝置办婚事，但在凤英和根宝的动员下，最后将赵老爷的财物悉数上交政府，并受到政府嘉奖。。
