Quique is dispatched to a village in deep Spain Teruel to lead its politics of recuperation but soon discovers he was sent there so that his girlfriend and leader of his party could spend more time together。以移民的身份在美国居住15年后，阿扎回到了吉尔吉斯斯坦的家乡。一年前父亲穆拉特在美国去世，他临终的愿望是把欠家乡村民的钱还清。如今，家乡的祖屋已被遗弃，一片荒芜；巧罗因为哥哥穆拉特的牵连曾经入狱，心怀愤懑，至今不愿意原谅他们一家。尽管大多数村民都不喜欢阿扎，他还是决定要替父亲将遗愿实现。。
