Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。多马（皆川纯子 配音）是生活在岛屿上的平凡的少年，吉德（小林希唯 配音）是自幼生长在孤儿院中的孤苦少年，两端看似一生都不会有交集的命运，却被一个名叫海尔嘉（河原木志穗 配音）的少女联系在了一起。为了遵循少女的愿望，两个少年将和她一起出逃，前去那个少女魂牵梦绕的地方。 刑警库克斯（辻亲巴 配音）一直在调查一宗大量少年少女走失事件，在调查的过程中，一个叫做“贝佛鲁的孩子们”的群体出现在了他的眼前，他们白发，短命，在11岁时会集体死去，没有人知道他们为何而来又为何而死。然而这一次，由于海尔嘉一行人的参与，事件的真相即将揭晓。。
