政界、财界、司法界等任何一个世界的事物都有正反两面。正如剧名所示，本剧将以幕后操纵社会的“Fixer”为主人公，描写了聚集在他身边的黑暗、金钱和拥有权力的人们。由知名编剧井上由美子担任脚本，这也是两人继电视剧『白色巨塔』『日本制造』『骚扰游戏』的第4次搭档。剧中，唐泽饰演的主人公·设乐拳一，实际上是个充满谜团的人物。虽然没有人知道他至今为止过着怎样的人生，但他处理了政治财界的纠纷和企业间的纠纷回避，包括警察和法律无法解决的事情，故事以拳一服刑结束后开始…。A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry.
