心情沮丧，愤世嫉俗的联邦调查局人员艾特杰菲（布鲁斯威利），由于调职后被人陷害，于是对政府失去了信心，这时他被派去调查一起双亲离奇遇害，男孩失踪的案件，可是被卷入了一场意想不到的事件。 　　杰菲在前往现场查案时，发现了失踪的男孩，这名患有自闭症的男孩“塞门”因为惊吓过度，不能说话，他的经历引起了杰菲的共鸣，凭他的直觉，他认为身陷危险，于是请求警方提供保护。但警方无故撤退了，杰菲只好带着孩子逃命。 　　杰菲不顾同事的反对收容了男孩，后来发现“塞门”竟然无意破解了军方最高机密的“水星密码”，于是惹来了杀身之祸。这个密码是为了保护美国在全球的情报活动，于是杰菲被逐出联邦调查局，向警方的求助也被拒绝，只好单枪匹马保护“塞门”，摆脱政府的追杀。。A group of young pilots in a remote region of the Canadian wilderness begin to hear strange reports over their radios about planes crashing, cars stalling and a deadly plague which has gripped the planet. It becomes clear that earth is in the midst of an invasion. The group of pilots decide to barracade themselves in a cabin deep in the woods and wait for their impending doom.。
