A moving meditation on industrialization, focusing on the eerily desolate Owens Valley in California, made arid by the diversion of water from there to the city of Los Angeles.。富家子林大卫（乔庄）一向沉溺酒色，遇上心仪的朱丹枫（胡燕妮）后，自此修心养性。林的好友陈汉民（杨帆）早巳与朱情趣相投，惟见林狂恋朱，遂成人之美， 且促成他们婚事。但婚后林怀疑妻与陈有染，二人因此蒙冤。陈为表清白，决赴欧洲另求发展。。1967年第三届MPB音乐节历史影像和现今对当时参与其中的大佬访谈。
