SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。学校では空気な高校生、三森灯河はクラスメイトとともに勇者として異世界に召喚された。 女神ヴィシスによってクラスメイトたちが次々にＳ級、Ａ級と能力を見出される中、灯河は最低ランクであるＥ級と宣言され『廃棄』対象となってしまう。 生存率ゼロの遺跡に廃棄された灯河はハズレ枠と貶された【状態異常スキル】を駆使して遺跡脱出を試みる。 その日から、女神ヴィシスへの復讐の炎を宿した青年は人畜無害な人間をやめ、心の奥底に隠していた本性を明かしていく…… 「はじめようか、生存競争を」。故事发生在一座远离大都会的小城市，无所事事的青年佐藤达夫（绫野刚 饰）曾经在某矿山工作，但在目睹一次事故后让他选择逃离。日常里他周游在城市各个角落，直到某天在小钢珠店结识了小青年大城拓儿（菅田将晖 饰）。拓儿此前因伤害罪入狱服刑，后来假释出狱，经姐姐千夏（池胁千鹤 饰）介绍在熟人的公司谋得一份差事。他们的家贫穷不堪，父亲卧病在床，千夏在三流酒吧内出卖肉体，日常还不得不委身与拓儿的老板（高桥和也 饰），饱受屈辱。初次相逢，似乎让达夫和千夏对彼此有了好感，他们越走越近，孤独的心靠在一起相偎取暖。然而命运的捉弄却才刚刚开始…… 本片根据已故作家佐藤泰志唯一一部长篇小说改编。。
