Director Eiji SAKATA had the opportunity to spend six months in close contact with two sumo stables. In the process, he managed to capture fascinating footage of the rigorous training sessions and daily life of the wrestlers.。马新贻早年投身太平军，与两个结义兄弟关云宝、张文祥一同打入清廷卧底。后来平步青云得享荣华，又因太平军大势已去，权衡利弊，决意与过去一刀两断，两个结义兄弟便成为其心头大患。更因迷恋关云宝的娇妻賀蘭，心生歹意，设计将关杀害，以达一箭双雕。因此与张文祥结下不共戴天之仇……。
