Aspiring filmmakers Mel Funn, Marty Eggs and Dom Bell go to a financially troubled studio with an idea for a silent movie. In an effort to make the movie more marketable, they attempt to recruit a number of big name stars to appear, while the studio's creditors attempt to thwart them. The film contains only one word of dialogue, spoken by an unlikely source.。管静竹（刘蓓 饰）本以为，一家三口的平淡生活将会继续，然而，在儿子歪歪被确诊患上了无法治愈的自闭症之后，丈夫卷走了家中的全部钱财，不辞而别。焦阳（吴秀波 饰），一个整日流窜在街头巷尾的小混混，占过小便宜，当过小偷，却也尝到苦果，锒铛入狱，他和管静竹两人的命运，在彼此知晓之前，就已经紧紧的纠缠到了一起。 出狱后，管静竹收留了走投无路的焦阳，两人组成了一个特殊的家庭，焦阳对歪歪极好，这让管静竹的内心里十分感激。王斌（何政军 饰）向管静竹发起了热情的攻势，而焦阳亦有了喜欢的女孩，两人感情稳定，就在这个节骨眼上，老天爷开了一个玩笑，管静竹发现自己得了癌症，与此同时，焦阳则被卷入了黑社会的纷争之中。。
